XFL Coaches Had No Idea Their Play calls Were Being Broadcast Live

If you tuned in to the XFL’s opening weekend, you noticed plenty of cameras focused on the coaching staff calling plays and formations.

Well, it turns out the coaches had no idea.

While he knew the cameras were there, Seattle Dragons coach Jim Zorn said he was “absolutely shocked” by how much of his play calling made the broadcast.

D.C. Defenders coach Pep Hamilton says he’s been working on different calls because after the first game, “3.3 million people know whether we’re running to the right or running to the left.”
