Wrestlemania 36: Night One Results

Crowd or not, Night 1 of Wrestlemania 36 was better than most people expected. All of the wrestlers made it a Grade A show with unprecedented circumstances. WrestleMania 36 opens up with Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon talking about how this WrestleMania will be different due to the trying times we’re living through the COVID-19 pandemic. After Stephanie, we get a video package of various singers performing “America The Beautiful” over the years that included Aretha Franklin, Boyz II Men, Gladys Knight, Ray Charles, the Boys Choir of Harlem, Willie Nelson, and many others.

Let’s start WrestleMania 36 with host Rob Gronkowski welcoming everyone and why WWE picked him to host. Supposedly, The Gronk knows how to start a party and tells the WWE Universe to pop open a beverage, forget about everything else in the world, and enjoy WrestleMania 36. If you want the juicy details of every match, I recommend watching on the WWE Network.

As we go to our Host Rob Gronkowski, it seems like a small intermission or segway with the WWE 24/7 Champion R-Truth crashing the party by offending The Gronk and Mojo Rawley. Ironically, R-Truth gets dropped by Gronk who goes for the pin but Mojo robs him of the opportunity and steals the pin to win the title. Mojo celebrates and leaves in a hurry while Gronk looks at him shocked.
