In a season that’s seen basketball viewership plummet, TV ratings for Game 1 of the NBA Finals have hit an all-time low.
Only 7.41 million people tuned in to watch the Los Angeles Lakers take on the Miami Heat, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
That number represents a 45 percent drop from last year’s Game 1 viewership, when the Golden State Warriors played the Toronto Raptors.
Previously, the record was held by 2007’s Game 3 match between the Spurs and Cavaliers, which brought in 8.06 million viewers, per the Reporter.
