On Sunday, the Miami Heat won a crucial game against the Toronto Raptors Sunday night, and guard Victor Oladipo was a huge reason why.
Oladipo finished the night 21 points on 63 percent shooting from the field coming off the bench. Its been an injury-riddled, up and down season for Oladipo but the former All-Star has embraced the depth and rotation changes that Miami has and is starting to carve out a real role for himself.
“Knowing that the opportunity could come because that’s where this team works, where different guys are stepping up on different nights,.” Oladipo said.
Oladipo’s versatility and unique scoring ability could work wonders for a Heat team that is inching closer to capturing the first seed in the Eastern Conference.
“I’m just that’s what I was focused on,” Oladipo said. “When my number was called today, and I was ready”.
Miami has won four straight games and currently leads Boston by 2 games.
Will Oladipo be able to keep the momentum going and take pressure off the other scorers?
We’ll find out soon as the Heat will be looking to extend their win streak to 5 when they play the Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday at FTX Arena.
