It was a season unlike any other. And now it’s over.

The Miami Heat fell 106-93 in game 6 of the NBA Finals to end one of the most improbable runs in recent in NBA history.

A 5 seed almost won the whole thing.

But in the end, the injuries and the Lakers were just too much to overcome as LeBron and company brought LA their 17th title in franchise history, tying the Boston Celtics for the most all time.

James was crowned the Finals MVP, his 4th in his illustrious career to go along with his 4th title in 10 Finals trips.

Of course, many Lakers fans and those within the organization will feel a special sense of gratitude and pride with this championship after the tragic death of Kobe Bryant back in late January.

As for the Miami Heat, they should take pride in what they were able to accomplish during the this season and know that the future is bright in South Beach.

Onto 2021 we go…
