It was a victory and performance for the ages for Tua and the Miami Dolphins as they came back from a 21 point 4th quarter deficit to win on the road in Baltimore, 42-38.

The Phins were down early on as they gave up the opening kickoff to the Ravens for a touchdown before tying the game at 7-7 in the second quarter. From there though, it was all Baltimore as they went into half time with a 28-7 lead.

After both teams exchanged 3rd quarter touchdowns, the Dolphins found themselves down 35-14 entering the 4th and final frame. That’s when the magic started to happen.

This one to Tyreek was a bomb from Tua and put Miami within striking distance midway through the 4th.

After a nice defensive stand, Tua threw for his 5th touchdown of the day and tied the game with just over 5 minutes left to play. Another long one to Tyreek “Cheetah” Hill.

Miami came back from the jaws of defeat to tie the game, only to have the Ravens drive down the field and set up Justin Tucker for a 51 yard field goal to take the lead right back, 38-35 with just over two minutes to play. This set up for a defining drive on a defining day for Tua and the Miami Dolphins as they worked their way down to the goal line and took the lead with 14 seconds left to play on a strike to Jaylen Waddle.

It was Waddle’s second touchdown of the day and Tua’s 6th as Miami completed an incredibly improbable comeback victory to move to 2-0 to start the season. Waddle and Hill each finished with 2 receiving touchdowns on the day to go along with Tua’s career high 6 passing td’s. Some other big numbers included Tyreek’s 190 yards receiving, Waddle’s 171, and Tua’s career high of 469 yards passing. He became only the third Dolphins quarterback to throw for 6 touchdowns in a game, joining franchise legends Bob Griese and Dan Marino.

Next up for Miami is a big home game against their AFC East division rival Buffalo Bills,  Sunday 9/24, at 1pm.
