More than seven months after he failed to make the cut at the British Open, Tiger Woods has returned to the golf course to compete in this week’s Genesis Invitational.
Woods — who was in a near-fatal car accident following the 2021 Genesis Invitational — says he still hasn’t completely recovered from the crash. “The leg is better than it was last year, but it’s my ankle,” Woods says. “It’s been an intricate little balance that we’ve had to dance. But it’s gotten so much better the last couple months.” Despite his sore ankle, Woods says he’s “playing to win.”
Woods is scheduled to tee off at the Genesis Invitational on Thursday.
