Oh snap, the Yankees just can’t seem to catch a break.
New York dropped its sixth of seven games against the Tampa Bay Rays at home on Thursday, suffering a 10-5 loss.
On the flip side, the Rays are now in first place in the AL East, thanks to Mike Zunino finishing things off with a three-run homer.
The win also makes Tampa the first team to take a three-game series at Yankee Stadium since Cleveland did so on on Aug. 28-30, 2017.
Joey Wendle and Mike Zunino are credited with some of the most important moments of the game.

Wendle helped tie the game in the fifth with a two-run double off James Paxton, followed by an RBI single in the next inning.
That’s when Zunino got the big three-run homer off Luis Avilan, putting Tampa Bay at an 8-4 advantage.
It just wasn’t the right day. The Yankees have hit 37 home runs and averaged 6.17 runs a game against all other teams.
Meanwhile, Friday night’s game between the Yankees and Mets is postponed, as two Mets players have tested positive for the coronavirus.
