The showdown is set. The NBA finals start tonight featuring the Los Angeles Lakers and the Miami Heat.

Both teams missed the playoffs last season.

LeBron James and the Lakers are favored in the best-of-seven series.

And don’t forget James won his first two championships with Miami in 2012 and 2013.

The Lakers haven’t appeared in the NBA finals in ten years.

King James has made it clear he plans to deliver the Lakers a championship. “That’s what I came here for.”

On the other side, the Heat have embraced the underdog role. Miami’s Jimmy Butler says, “We have to be near perfect to beat the Lakers. We’re capable of it.”
