Officials in Palm Beach County have announced an arrest in the shooting death of a 32-year-old woman visiting a beach on Singer Island.

Maria Tritico of Tequesta was shot and killed on Dec. 6th when a stray bullet struck her in the head while she watching her fiancé play Frisbee football on the beach.

She was rushed to an area hospital where she was placed on life support before her parents made the difficult decision to take her off of it the following day.

On Monday, the U.S. Marshal Task Force arrested a 16-year-old in connection to the shooting.

The teen has been taken to a juvenile detention center where they await a trail on Tuesday.
