Don’t expect to see any NBA games before May 1st. That’s the official word from Adam Silver.
Speaking to Turner Sports’ Ernie Johnson over Twitter, the league commissioner admits, “We should accept that at least for the month of April we won’t be in any position to make any decisions.”
Silver, who, along with other major league sports commissioners, was on a call with President Trump on Sunday, says they’ll be “ready to go,” when safe to do so.
Several NBA players had come down with COVID-19. When Rudy Gobert was the first to test positive on March 11, the league shut down the season.
