Shedeur Sanders: Commits to FAU!

Wow! There has to be something about being the son of a 90’s Hall of Fame Football player. The answer is simple… They all want to play for Florida Atlantic University. Shedeur Sanders, a four-star quarterback recruit committed to the Owls on Monday. Yes, Shedeur is the son of Deion Sanders, but wants to write his own legacy. He mentions that Coach Willie Taggart was the first coach to offer him the opportunity to play at the next level.

Sanders is the 14th-ranked QB nationally in the 247 Sports composite rankings and will be entering his senior year at Trinity Christian School in Cedar Hill, Texas this fall at 6-foot-2, 200-pounds. He had so many offers that included schools from Alabama, Arizona State, Baylor, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Houston, LSU, Michigan, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee, UCF and UCLA before committing to Florida Atlantic. After adding Sanders to the class, FAU has a total of 18 commitments with Sanders as the only four-star athlete.

  • 2019 (Junior) Sanders threw for 3,477 yards, 47 touchdowns and 4 interceptions.
  • 2018 (Sophomore) Sanders threw for 3,088 yards, 42 touchdowns and 7 interceptions
