The Rays are expected to announce Tuesday a new stadium deal that will keep the team in St. Petersburg, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

The new facility will be near the current Tropicana Field site that will have a capacity of 30,000 and have a roof.
The project is part of the redevelopment of the 86-acre Historic Gas Plant District and is expected to be ready by the 2028 season.
According to the report, the cost will be around $1.2 billion, with contributions from the team, St. Petersburg and Pinellas County.
