Patriots To Go With Cam Newton Over Jarrett Stidham

Cam Newton and the New England Patriots agreed to a one-year deal which will pay the veteran quarterback more than $1 million, according to multiple reports. He reportedly could earn up to $7.5 million in incentives, according to the NFL Network.

Back in the 2011 NFL Draft, Newton was the No. 1 overall pick with the Carolina Panthers. He led them to three straight NFC South titles from 2013-15. In 2015, he led the Panthers to a Super Bowl appearance and was awarded the league MVP. Don’t forget he has gone to three Pro Bowls in nine seasons. The question is… Is Cam Newton worth more than $1 million for just one year? The injury bug has set Cam back by missing 16-regular season games over the last two years. Those key injuries include a foot injury requiring a surgical procedure and multiple shoulder surgeries in his career.
