Panthers sign Defenseman Petteri Lindbohm

The Florida Panthers have agreed to terms with Finnish defensemen Petteri Lindbohm the team announced Tuesday.

Lindbohm most recently was with with Jokerit of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL), logging eight points over 45 games.

Lindbohm represented Finland at the 2022 Winter Olympics where he helped his country earn their first Olympic Gold Medal in ice hockey, picking up two assists in six games.

“Petteri is a physical, experienced and capable defenseman who has succeeded on various levels of international hockey,” said Zito. “He recently showcased what he can do contributing to Finland’s Gold Medal at the Olympics and we look forward to what he can add to our Panthers blueline.”

He last appeared in the NHL with St. Louis in 2017.

The signing reunited Lindbohm with Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov. The two represented Finland at the 2013 IIHF World Junior Championships.
