The Panthers announced they’re bringing back Defenseman Matt Kiersted on a two-year contract.
The first year of the deal will be a two-way contract and the second one will be a one-way.
“Matt made great strides this year in his first full professional season, showing his skill as an exciting young defenseman,” said Panthers GM Bill Zito in a release. “We are looking forward to his continued growth within our organization.”
The 24-year-old Kiersted skated in 10 games with the Panthers this year recording two points. He spent the majority of the year with the club’s AHL affiliate the Charlotte Checkers where he skated in 63 games tallying 20 points.
