Panthers’ Record-Breaking Season Ends With 2nd-Round Sweep By Lightning

The Florida Panthers have been swept out of the NHL postseason, losing 2-0 to the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 4 of their second-round Stanley Cup playoff series on Monday.
Florida was the NHL’s top-seeded team entering the playoffs yet didn’t score more than one goal in any of the four games against the Lightning.
On the flip side, goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy has been spectacular for Tampa Bay (49 saves just on Monday night), and also impressive was the Lightning completing the sweep without injured top forward Brayden Point.
Did this series prove the Lightning have a real shot of winning the Stanley Cup for a third straight year? How did the Panthers’ postseason go off the rails?
