The Owls are getting ready for 2025…yes, that’s five years from now.
FAU and the University of Iowa announced this week that they will start the season at the home of the Hawkeyes, Kinnick Stadium.
The Aug. 30, 2025 game will mark the first time the two teams have faced each other, according to a report from our news partner, WPTV NewsChannel 5.
For now, the Owls will stay closer to home, as they face the FIU Panthers in the annual Shula Bowl on Friday.

At this point, the Owls are 3-1 on a shortened season due to the pandemic, and 3-1 in Conference USA.
They outscored Western Kentucky and UTSA during the past two weeks, and defeated Charlotte, 21-17, in their first game of the season on October 3.
