Oh Boy – White Makes His Case To Be Jets Starting QB

Is a QB controversy brewing on the New York Jets?
Head coach Robert Saleh announced that Mike White will start Thursday night against the Indianapolis Colts.
As ESPN put it, “the unheralded White,” who was on the roster bubble at the start of training camp, delivered a “passing performance for the ages” in Sunday’s 34-31 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
White threw for 405 yards and three touchdowns. He had 37 pass completions.
Comparison: Zach Wilson hasn’t had more than 37 attempts in any game.
Yes, Wilson was the second pick in the 2021 NFL draft.
But, when Saleh was asked if White could be their long-term solution he replied: “We’ll go day-to-day, but anything is possible, right?”
Does White look like a guy who can handle big moments on the field? Did he earn his place as the starter? (even after Wilson recovers from his knee injury)
