NFL coaches are set to vote this week on the future of the onside kick.
The proposal would replace onside kicks with a 4th-and-15 from their own 25-yard line, keeping the ball if it’s able to convert. However, it could only be used twice a game and only during regulation, not overtime.
Last season, just 8 out of 56 onside kick attempts were successfully converted. The Philadelphia Eagles, who submitted the proposal, say it would add “excitement and competition late in the game.”
Do you like the 4th-and-15 idea, or would you keep onside kicks? What other NFL rule changes would you make?
