This year’s Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio between the Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers on August 6 has been canceled.

The cancellation marks the first time the NFL has had to cancel an event because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Because of the cancellation, the Cowboys and Steelers will play in the 2021 Hall of Fame Game to kick off the next season, and instead of reporting to training camp earlier than other teams will now report to camp at the same time as other teams.

The Hall of Fame enshrinement ceremony that was to be held on August 8 has been postponed to a later date.
