NFL Admits Penalties on Cowboys Shouldn’t Have Been Called

DeMarcus Lawrence was right. The NFL has admitted that the phantom tripping call that gave the Cowboys a loss to the Patriots Sunday shouldn’t have been called.

While Dallas was behind 13-9, they converted a 3rd and 1 on their own 35 during the last two minutes of the game, setting them up for a touchdown. But a tripping penalty set Dallas back and gave the Patriots the game.

DeMarcus Lawrence said the penalty was “bull—-” and now the NFL says that, after review, the penalty should not have been called.

Do you think there should be punishments for refs who make these terrible game changing mistakes?

Should those refs at the Cowboys/Pats game be allowed on the field at all this season?
