Nationals Won’t Raise Banner, Present Rings Until Fans Are Back in the Ballpark

MLB has been on hold just like the rest of sports.

In a recent interview, Mike Rizzo, Washington Nationals President of Baseball Operations was asked whether he thought the Nats were missing out on celebrating their World Series win due to the suspension of the season.

He said that the Nats were going to wait before raising their banner and presenting their rings on the World Series victory.

We’re going to wait for our fanbase to be involved to do those type of things. Those are once-in-a-lifetime things to do and our fanbase is such a big factor in helping us win that thing.

Players would have received their rings at the April 2nd home opener.

No word on when fans will be able to view any sporting event in person.

Even the Kansas City Chiefs haven’t been able to visit the White House yet.

Will you feel comfortable sitting in a stadium to watch a game in any sport?
