The Marlins and Red Sox made a bullpen swap as Miami sent lefty Richard Bleier in exchange for right handed reliever Matt Barnes.
The trade was first reported by the Athletic. The Marlins are also receiving cash considerations according to the report.
Barnes pitched in 39.2 innings in 2022 striking out 34 with a 1.44 WHIP.
Bleier, a South Florida native, pitched 50.2 innings in 2022 striking out 32 with a 1.44 WHIP.
