Lionel Messi Scores Game-Winning Goal in MLS Debut with Miami

It doesn’t get much better than this for your first game!

Lionel Messi did not disappoint in his Major League Soccer debut with Inter Miami CF.
The soccer star scored on a free-kick during the fourth minute of stoppage time to win 2-1 against Mexican club Cruz Azul.
Miami’s DRV PNK Stadium was filled with 20,000 fans, who all went wild after the goal.

Messi said after the game, “I had the last chance of the game and I shot it like I always do it. I was lucky that it went right to the goal and that the goalkeeper couldn’t get it and it was a goal. It was a very joyful moment to be able to get this first win.”
