LeMahieu, Cole & Judge Power Yankees 9-3

A solid performance by Gerrit Cole in a 9-3 win over the Orioles at Camden Yards. It was another victory for Cole, who extended his winning streak to 18 games. He was sluggish early on by giving up a walk and an RBI double in the bottom of the 1st inning. Cole quickly settled in to dominate the game going 6 and 2/3 innings with 7 Ks, 2 walks on 4 hits. Chad Green pitched a scoreless 8th inning before Brooks Kriske finished the game in his MLB debut with 2 Ks and a walk.

DJ LeMahieu’s Home Run in the top of the 1st inning sparked the Bronx Bombers with his 4-for-5 performance as well as Aaron Judge going 2-for-3 with his Home Run in the top of the 3rd inning. Aaron Hicks added a two-run Home Run later in the inning and all three players finished with 2 RBI’s each. The Yankees will take on the O’s again today in Baltimore and will have their home opener against the Boston Red Sox on Friday.
