So, where do the Panthers go from here?
Quenneville met with the NHL commissioner Gary Bettman yesterday regarding the allegations against him that he helped to cover up the alleged sexual abuse against one of his former Chicago Blackhawks players, Kyle Beach.
It was reported that coach Q knew about the alleged abuse that was going on behind closed doors from the video coach against Kyle Beach during the 2010 season when they were with the Chicago Blackhawks.
The investigation has concluded that there is validity to Beach’s claims and that Quenneville did knowingly cover it up, hence the resignation.
Andrew Brunette is now the interim head coach for the Panthers, though it is being reported that they may have interest in bringing in former Lightning and Rangers head coach John Tortorella.
Florida remains undefeated on the season and will look to improve to 8-0-0 when they face off against the Red Wings tonight in Detroit.
