I’m not the only one back in town.
So are the boys.
Marlins CEO Derek Jeter spoke Monday morning, just days before pitchers and catchers report to Jupiter for the beginning of Spring training.
Jeter remained optimistic about the Marlins’ future but preached patience, something he said he does not have.
Just last week, the Marlins traded away their best player, J.T. Realmuto.
The team did acquire what seems to be some decent talent for the All-Star catcher. It will take time, though, to see if any of that projected talent develops.
We should all know, the Marlins are going to face a very difficult 2019 season, especially with the rest of the NL East improving.
Is Jeter’s plan working? It’s too early to tell… and there should be no reason or rush to judge it right now.
