It wasn’t pretty but FAU (3-1)  picked up a 10-3 victory over conference rival Western Kentucky (2-6) (1-3) conf.

After a 30-minute rain delay, the Owls knew it might only take one TD to seal the victory with the soggy conditions in Boca Raton.

Florida Atlantic capped off the win by converting on 4th down and 1 with RB BJ Emmons and finished the drive with an 11-yard TD scamper from backup QB Javion Posey.

FAU QB Nick Tronti had another underwhelming passing performing as the Junior went  7/16 108 yards without a score or interception thrown.

Florida Atlantic Head Coach Willie Taggart did not discuss a QB change on the FAU Post-game Show but might consider one as the Owls get ready for the “Shula Bowl” as they face long time rival, FIU on Friday night at 7 pm.
