On Tuesday, NFL owners formally voted to expand the playoffs to 14 teams beginning this fall.

Under the new system, only one team from each conference will get a first-round bye. One extra wild-card team will be added in each conference, and face the No. 2 seed in the first round.

The new format means the first round will see triple-headers on both Saturday and Sunday, with the extra games to be carried on CBS and NBC.

Do you approve of adding two extra playoff teams? What’s the ‘ideal’ number of teams in the playoffs?
