Heat, Panthers Next Round Match Ups Set with Conflicting Schedules

It’s wild times for South Florida sports fans as both the Heat and Panthers are advancing together in the playoffs for the first time ever!

Both teams have of course gone deep in the playoffs before, but never at the same time like this. The last time the Panthers advanced out of the first round was in the 95′-96′ season and that was the year that they got swept in the Stanley Cup final by the Colorado Avalanche. As for the Heat, they weren’t so hot that season getting swept in the first round by Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls.

Since then, the Heat have been perennial playoff contenders winning 3 championships along the way, but the Cats have been stuck in the mud for the better part of two decades, only making the playoffs a hand full of times and never advancing out of the first round, including last year when they lost to the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Well, the Panthers are hoping history does not repeat itself because that same Lightning team is coming to town to start the battle for Florida in the second round series tomorrow night. Check out the schedule below as the quest for the Cup continues!

But it doesn’t stop there. The Miami Heat will be going up against the Boston Celtics once again in the Eastern Conference Finals with a trip to the Finals on the line. The two met in the conference finals back in the bubble of 2020 where Miami won that series only to fall to LeBron and the Lakers in 6 games in the Finals.
