Toronto took a must-win game last night, staving off elimination against the Florida Panthers.
The Leafs edged the Panthers 2-1 win over the Florida Panthers in goaltender Joseph Woll’s first career postseason start.
Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe told reporters it was his team’s best effort of the season.
It was also a necessity with their backs against the wall facing a 3-0 series deficit.
The Panthers will have another shot to advance to the conference finals on Friday night when they play game 5 in Toronto.

Meanwhile, The New York Knicks also stayed alive last night.
Jalen Brunson scored 38 points in a 112-103 victory over the Heat at Madison Square Garden.
The win pushes the Eastern Conference semi-final series to a sixth game on Friday in Miami where the Heat will have a chance to close it out at home.
