Get Ready for the Subway Series

Monday’s Subway Series opener against the New York Mets was postponed and will be made up today as part of a separate-admission doubleheader. Game 1 starts at 1:05 today as gates will open at noon. The 2nd game will remain as-is with a start time of 7:05. Since their first meeting in June 1997, the Mets-Yankees rivalry has spawned a subculture not only in New York but all over the world. These two teams have housed some of the most remarkable athletes in the history of MLB that includes Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera, Dwight Gooden, Darryl Strawberry, David Cone, Roger Clemens, Mike Piazza and many more.

The Mets and Yankees have been playing against each other for more than two decades. The battle for New York favors the Yankees as the Mets have not performed well against the Bronx Bombers.
