Frazier Goes Downtown Twice in Win

The Yankees were firing on all cylinders last night with an 11-4 victory against the Baltimore Orioles. Clint Frazier started the game with a 6-for-40 (.150) slump, but that all changed when he hit a two-run homer in the 3rd inning and a three-run homer in the 5th inning off David Hess. By then, Frazier made it 9-0 and set a career high with 5 RBI’s and hit his 2nd home run of the game. Let’s not forget about how scary Gary has become in the past month. Gary Sanchez hit a three-run homer in the 1st inning that set the stage for the easy victory for the Yankees. Sanchez finished with 4 RBI’s while D.J. LeMahieu had another great game with 3 hits.

Another strong outing for Domingo German as he won his 6th consecutive start and leads the league with 9 wins. The crafty right-hander pitched 5 innings giving up 2 Runs on 5 Hits with 5 K’s and 1 Walk. He improved to 9-1 with a 2.60 ERA and is possibly the Yankees best kept secret because German is filling in for New York ace Luis Severino, who won’t be ready until after the All-Star break due to an injury in the beginning of the season.
