The Florida Panthers are headed to the Stanley Cup playoffs for only the eighth time in their 29-year history and with only 13 games left to go, many can make the argument that this is their best team ever.
The Panthers currently sit atop the Eastern Conference at 48-15. Florida is expected to open the Cup playoffs at FLA Live Arena in Sunrise as it entered Monday with a nine-point lead on everyone else in the Atlantic Division. On Sunday, the Panthers became the first team in the NHL to clinch a playoff berth by defeating the Buffalo Sabres, 5-3, and are now headed to the playoffs for the third year in a row for the first time in franchise history.
According to Sunsentinel.com- “The 2022 Stanley Cup playoffs will begin next month, and single-game tickets to watch the Panthers’ run in person will go on sale THIS Friday at 10 a.m. Fans can purchase tickets through Ticketmaster or by visiting FloridaPanthers.com. Exclusive presales will begin Monday, and fans can gain access by signing up for the team’s “‘93 Society” newsletter. Playoff merchandise is also already on sale at FLATeamShop.com.”
The Panthers will look to rebound in the playoffs after losing in six games to the eventual-champion Tampa Bay Lightning in the first round. The Panthers have not won a playoff series since going to 1996 Stanley Cup Finals in only their third year of existence.
After setting franchise records for wins, home and road wins, and soon to be points in a single season, Florida is in the drivers seat to make their first championship run in 25+ years.
