Florida man steals bulldozer to run down campaign signs

A central Florida man is now facing several charges after he allegedly stole a bulldozer from a construction site and used it to run down several Joe Biden campaign signs in a predominantly black neighborhood.

The incident was reported in Haines City on Saturday.

Haines City Police say they received several calls about a white male driving a bulldozer yards that had Joe Biden campaign signs up.

The suspect also took out a city speed- limit sign, a chain-link fence, and destroyed several yards in the process.

Authorities were able to identify the suspect at 26-year-old James Blight.

During a police interview, Blight says he had been drinking whiskey and doesn’t remember much of the day, however, he then admitted to running over the campaign signs and a fence.

He has since been charged with grand theft auto and trespassing. Other charges are pending.
