FAU hires former Texas coach Tom Herman

Tom Herman is back! The former Texas and Houston coach will reportedly become the next head coach at FAU.

Herman went 22-4 in two seasons at Houston, winning the AAC title in 2015, the conference FAU will join in 2023. From there he spent four seasons at Texas going 32-18 winning four bowl games in all four seasons he spent in Austin. Despite the success, Herman was fired in January of 2021. He spent the 2021 season as an offensive analyst with the Chicago Bears. Herman is expected to meet with the team for the first time Thursday afternoon.
