FAMILIES AND PATIENTS JOIN THE MOVEMENT TO DEFEAT ALS
Walk to Defeat ALS® at Dreher South Park on March 14, 2020
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – On Saturday, March 14th, thousands of people will gather at Dreher South Park in West Palm Beach to join the fight to find a cure for a deadly disease. ALS progressively paralyzes its victims, attacking nerve cells and pathways in the brain or spinal cord, taking away their ability to walk, talk, eat and eventually breathe. ALS has no known cause or cure, but the Palm Beach community is rallying together to change that.
All interested walkers should contact Vincenza Cuvin at 813.637.9000 x119 or VCuzin@alsafl.org, or register online at www.WalktoDefeatALS.org.
WHAT: An annual walk to unlock ALS research and treatment; The Walk to Defeat ALS® is the #1 way to unite and fundraise for those living with ALS. Each year, fundraising through the Walk drives bold and urgent innovation as we march together toward a cure for ALS.
WHEN: Saturday, March 14, 2020, Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. Walk starts at 10 am.
WHERE: Dreher South Park | 5683 Dreher Trail South | West Palm Beach, FL | 33405
WHY: We walk to honor those who are fighting this disease as well as their caregivers. Money raised from the walk fuels our goals to provide assistance and advocacy for people with ALS and their families at every stage of the disease and allows for more advanced research toward a cure.
