Stronger Than Cancer 5K & Celebration of Life

It’s the 9th Annual POST 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 7:30 a.m. at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium!
Your participation will help us continue to help local children and their families courageously fight cancer by giving them compassionate emotional and financial support. Proceeds from this event benefit POST. POST is a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization. Description
This is SO much more than a race! This fun event honors and celebrates the cancer journeys of brave young cancer warriors. This beautiful fast, flat 5k course winds through tree-lined roads and downtown Abacoa! Grab your friends and start a team to help local children fight cancer.
There’s a prize for Best Team Name, Best Fundraiser, Best Fundraising Team, Best Superhero Costume (Adult), Best Superhero Costume (10-18), Best Superhero Costume (10 & under), and Best Dog Costume.
During the 5k course, athletes will earn beads along the way that honor a child’s cancer journey:
- Blue Beads for HOPE
- Red Beads for STRENGTH
- Green Beads for RESILIENCE
- GOLD Beads for BRAVERY at the Finish Line. Gold is the color of childhood cancer! Show your colors to support kids fighting cancer!
Participants of both the 5k and the 1 mile Warrior Walk will get GOLD Beads at the Finish!
This family-friendly event also has a Kidz Fun Zone for the young and young at heart.
Hand sanitizer stations throughout the event.
Kids between ages 4 and 10 can run the 100 yard Young Hero Dash, while kids 3 and under can participate in the 10 yard Diaper Dash.
