The Alpha Pearl Foundation, Incorporated, in partnership with Xi Pi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, will host its 17th Annual Alpha Pearl Golf Tournament on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at the Indian Spring Country Club in Boynton Beach, Florida.
In 2019, the Golf Tournament hosted 170 golfers and a scholarship luncheon for seven high school graduates receiving the scholarships with their parents. After two years of postponing the annual golf tournament and luncheon due to the covid pandemic, the two organizations are eager to resume their commitment to the students and communities they serve.
We began offering virtual programs to continue serving the community during the covid pandemic, said Dwanne Jackson Clayton, President of the Xi Pi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®.
The Golfers are very excited to resume in-person support of our scholarship initiatives. The pandemic made it challenging and limited all philanthropy activities, stated Arleen Davis Slagle, President of the Foundation.
The event is open to the public; tee-off begins promptly at 8:30 am.
