Police in Plantation, Florida are currently searching for a driver who fatally struck a pedestrian and fled the scene.

The incident occurred Sunday around 2:30 am along the 500 block of North State Road 7.

Officials say witnesses spotted two vehicles in the area when the 36-year-old victim was discovered to have been hit, however, they are unsure which vehicle actually struck the victim.

Both vehicles were also said to have fled the scene.

Authorities have not publicly identified the victim and are continuing to investigate.
