The NFL has punished the Dolphins for tampering on two separate occasions costing them a first round pick in the 2023 draft and a third rounder in 2024.

In addition, Owner Stephen Ross has also been suspended until October 17 and fined $1.5 million. He won’t be allowed around the team or any league functions.

The league says the Dolphins tampered with Tom Brady in 2019 and with Sean Payton in January of this year.

According to the NFL, the tampering with Brady started in August of 2019 while he was still a member of the Patriots.

In January of this year they spoke with Payton about their coaching vacancy without requesting permission from the Saints, when he was still under contract.
