The Dolphins Deal Another RB and Trade Draft Picks with the Raiders

The Dolphins are on a roll…of cleaning house.

Miami just traded away one of its starters, according to our news partner, WPTV NewsChannel 5.

It’s the second one in less than a week.

Late last week, the team sent Kalen Ballage, who served as starting running back during last season, flying to the Jets.

In return, the ‘Fins will have a conditional seventh-round draft pick next year.

This time around, linebacker Raekwon McMillan is being dealt, along with a 2021 fifth-round draft pick to the Las Vegas Raiders.

He had been in Miami for three seasons.

It seems that the Dolphins really wanted a fourth-round pick in the 2021 draft.

All this despite the fact that McMillan started 12 games last season, and 28 of 29 games with the team since he was drafted.

In total, he had 72 tackles last year.

Dolphins head coach Brian Flores said of McMillan, “He’s a good football player. I think he’s going to have a long career, but there’s a lot of depth in that room.”

He didn’t elaborate any further.

Such is the world of NFL football and the Dolphins.
