Changes announced for “Fourth on Flagler”

Mayor Keith James announced that major changes are in store for  the Fourth of Flagler event in West Palm Beach.

For those who are unfamiliar with the firework show, it is one of the largest 4th of July celebrations in Florida and takes place along the West Palm Beach waterfront.

In a press conference on Friday, the Mayor stated that due to the coronavirus and the ongoing mandate to social distance, this year’s event will take place from the comfort of home.

“We will celebrate together, but at home,” said James.

James reported that the fireworks will be setoff from two different undisclosed locations in the city that will maximize aerial views for spectators at home.

The city will also provide, ideas on how to make the best of the holiday from your home.
