It was a tough day for college football fans all over the country.
First, FAU lost one of their best defensive players when safety Quran Hafiz announced on Twitter that he would be opting out of the 2020 season due to covid-19 concerns.
He became the first Owls player to opt out this season.
Meanwhile, on the national stage, an entire conference decided to cancel their season.
The MAC conference became the first FBS conference to announce the cancellation of their entire 2020 season.
That means for teams like Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Ohio University, and Miami of Ohio, the season has ended before it even began.
We’ll see what these next few weeks have in store for college football.
Here’s to hoping we get a season.
