Big Changes Could Be Coming To The MLB Postseason

If the rumors hold true, some huge changes could be coming to the MLB postseason starting in 2022.

According to the New York Post, among the plans being mulled by the league is an increase from 10 to 14 in the number of playoff teams plus a reality TV element to the wild-card round.

The best team in the league would reportedly receive a bye into the division series while the two other division winners and the wild card with the next best record would battle it out in a best-of-three series in the opening round.

A source told the Post’s Joel Sherman that this could all play out live on the Sunday night of the final regular-season games with representatives picking teams.

What do you think about the rumored changes?
