We knew this could happen, and it has.

As we say goodbye to August and cross into September, the sports calendar is suddenly becoming a sight to behold.

Here’s what you have to look forward to in the coming week.

Starting tonight, the Miami Heat begin their 2nd round playoff match up against the Milwaukee Bucks.

This series is something that basketball fans have been looking forward to for a while. And Heat fans are feeling pretty confident coming into this series, and maybe for good reason, considering that the Heat were 2-1 vs the Bucks during the regular season.

Add that to how the Heat were shooting vs the Pacers in the first round and that they got a week off coming into this one, and it could mean some success.

The hashtag, “Heat in 6” was actually trending on Twitter over the weekend, so we shall see.

But that’s not all you have to look forward to.

The U.S. Open starts today in NYC with a lot of the big names, including Serena, taking part in this years first major tennis tournament.

College football is back! Can’t forget about that. And there are actual real live games that will take place this upcoming week involving teams like SMU, Memphis, and Navy.

And then the Kentucky Derby, which had been delayed since May, will take place this Saturday from Church Hill Downs. All this and I haven’t even mentioned hockey!

You know what the best part is though? It’s only going to get better from here. Just do your self a favor and look at the calendar for September 10th…

Enjoy, sports fans. We deserve it.
