Whiteside helps Heat Defeat Rockets

Hassan Whiteside came in clutch to help the Miami Heat beat the Houston Rockets, 117-109, on Wednesday night.

Whiteside finished with 23 points, 14 rebounds and five blocks.

Dion Waiters added 23 points, nine rebounds and seven assists.

Goran Dragic put up 21 points.

On the other hand, James Harden racked up 38 points 12 rebounds and 12 assists for his 15th triple-double of the season.

Corey Brewer finished with 4 points and played for 27 minutes.

Miami shot 13 for 35 on 3-pointers, while Houston was 13 for 40.

Miami, 25-32, is two games behind Detroit for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Houston, 40-18, holds the third spot in the West behind Golden State and San Antonio.

The Heat will travel to Atlanta on Feb. 24th.

The Rockets will be at New Orleans on Feb. 23rd.
