New Orleans Player Appears to Choke Teammate During Game

The madness may have just started but it seems like New Orleans is already succumbing to the pressure.

During the second half of Tuesday’s First Four contest against the Mount St. Mary’s Mountaineers, New Orleans Privateers forward Travin Thibodeaux seemed to choke his teammate Christavious Gill.

The exchange occurred with the Privateers called a time out and Thibodeaux began yelling at Gill because he was opened and Gill did not pass him the ball. Things progressed from there, until Thibodeaux seemed to grab Gill by the neck, momentarily choking him.

Head coach Mark Slessinger  sat Thibodeaux  on the bench for the remainder of the game. It was not said whether further punishment will be handed out.

This is New Orleans first NCAA tournament appearance since 1996, and with a shot at the No. 1-seeded Villanova Wildcats, it makes sense that the Privateers are feeling the pressure.

However, it they can continue doing things like what they did below… they maybe have a chance!
