Huberdeau OT Goal Leads Panthers to Win Against Sharks

The Florida Panthers defeated the San Jose Sharks 6-5 in overtime when Jonathan Huberdeau scored with 3:22 left.

The Panthers lead the game 3-1 with 7:12 into the game on goals by Bjugstad, Aleksander Barkov and Jussi Jokinen.

San Jose responded and tied the score 3-3 entering the third period.

During the final quarter Alex Petrovic set up Bjugstad for goal to help the Panthers up  to a 4-3 lead with 2:15. Then, on Barkov’s second goal of the game, with 7:19 remaining, Jagr notched an assist that put him within 100 points of 2,000, and the score was 5-3.

Joe Pavelski scored two goals in the final 3:21 of regulation, and the teams were forced to go to OT.

The Panthers were able to come on top abd defeat the Sharks.
